Thanks to the 15mm WAB project that I and several of the folks at the FLGS embarked upon this month, my purchase goal is currently blown. Painting continues to go reasonably well, though this month will see a fall due to the same project.
July numbers:
(Bought, sold, and primed numbers stand alone, while the progress and finished lists are mutually exclusive)
Bought (176)
-8 GW plastic Dark Elf Warriors
-2 Warmachine mercs (Orin Midwinter, Stannis Brocker)
-4 GW Empire (Cannon/Mortar w 3 crew)
-1 WestWind Frau Pain
-1 Dark Age Prevailer (Lilith LE)
-1 Dark Age Grafter (Saint Johann)
-1 FOW Honey Stuart tank
-50 OG15 Saxon Peasants
-50 OG15 Saxon Spearmen
-36 SLM 15mm Early Saxons
-22 Minifigs 15mm Franks
SOLD (3)
Primed (183)
Painting Progress (105)
Finished (66)
-2 Battletech
-1 LotR Mordor Uruk
-4 Warmachine Cryx
-3 GW Bretonnian Peasant Archers
-3 Gripping Beast "Swine"
-3 Stonehouse 15mm deadfall
-50 OG15 Saxon Peasants
This brings the YTD numbers to
Net Growth: +398
Painted: 231
398 growth/213 days = 1.868 minis per day.
231 painted/398 bought = 58.0% of growth painted.
Which is behind the purchase goal (<1.5 per day) but still barely ahead of the painting goal (>50% painted).
Existing project progress was limited. Warmachine and Battletech projects moved slowly forward, as did the WFB goal.
The 15mm WAB project will dominate the painting numbers next month, as I have 80+ in late stages and another 20 in early stages of painting or just primed. The above numbers don't include the armies of the other players, since I did all the ordering for the entire project. Those have all gone to their respective players, so there are 275 Vikings and 180-odd Franks and Lombards that passed through my hands this month. I decided to leave those numbers out since they wash anyway and they were never part of "my" collection.
I am now eyeing the piles of minis with the next convention flea market (at the end of August) and/or eBay in mind. Time to trim down with an eye on the Pledge goal for the year…
